James' grand adventures!

As many of you know, James has wandered off to Antarctica just this past week!  I just spoke with him tonight and all is well.  I'm sure he'll be on here to post all 1000 plus pictures he's taken so far sometime later this week :)  It was really good to hear from him tonight.  I won't tell everything he's told me about his adventure so far (that way he can tell you himself about all the glorious details of his trip in person!) but it sounds like the most exciting experience.  All i can say is he's had some great experience with the wildlife, lots of fun meeting new people, and even more fun checking out the huge icebergs down there...Anyway, there will be more to come from him in less than 1 week!
[Is it almost Tuesday yet?!?!]
I can't wait to see him!!!!!

Hearts.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! I can't wait! Even though James and I have only spent one VDay together we still have a cute little tradition we plan on doing every year...chocolate fondue in a cute little heart-shaped pot..This year we're staying in too.  We figured it's fun to go out but sometimes its rough trying to get through all the crowds of people out on the town. Anyway, pictures to follow!!

Bam! Boom! Pow Pow! Bang!

Do you ever wish that movies had those awesome, little tags they had in the original Batman TV series?  Like everytime someone would throw a punch or get kicked, there would be a little blurb next to the action that said something like "Shapow!"  Sometimes I wish life was like that for actions that occur or even feelings people are feeling.  If someone was really happy, there'd be a little blurb above they're head saying "ECSTATIC!"  Or if they were sad or angry it would say it, so people would know to keep their distance if need be.

It's almost Friday and I am STOKED.  Karen and I are going to an older couples' house this weekend to house sit for them while they're on vacation in Branson.  It's a nice big, older, beautiful house on 13 acres out in Excelsior Springs.  They've got 3 huge horses that are so nice, a ton of cats, and a dog named Casey.  They just recently put down their 13 year old dog, Camden, on Tuesday who I just met on Sunday.  Sad :(  It truly is strange meeting someone or something and then having them pass away just a few days later.  It's happened a couple other times in the past, whether it's a person or animal, and it always make me realize how much we all take this life for granted.

So this weekend, I'm going to enjoy the pristine country side and spending all weekend with the love of my life, Karen Elizabeth Daugherty!  Oh and possibly play Settlers of Catan tonight.  Yesssssssssssssssssssss.

Just Sittin'

So here I am!  Well...us rather.  Karen and I are chillin' at my desk right now at work, just sittin'.  We just got done eating some SUPER DUPER HEALTHY Krispy Kreme Donuts!!  They were delish, but oh so bad.  Now she's telling me she has to go back to work, but I'm not going to let her, mwahaha!  Anyways, errr...I mean Anyway, it's super cold and windy outside right now.  I've started getting interested in geocaching again and this cold weather is cramping my style!

I have to think of some awesome picture to post along with my entry so I can stay up to speed with Miss K.  So here, let me go find one real quick....

There ya have it folks.  Helped by Miss D. though.  She gets all the credit.  In other news Kansas plays Missouri tonight!  Rock Chalk!  Karen and I have some good ideas coming up this weekend, including her brilliant idea of going to the top of the tallest building in every major city we visit.  We've already got Chicago knocked out, and now we're doing KC this weekend.  Oh and of course, we have to kiss at the top too ;-)  That's all for now.  Hopefully I won't have an over two month lapse the next time I write again!

The good times are killin me!

So this weekend, James and I got to visit Rolla and hang with a large portion of the Griffith fam. Great fun!! Hanging with everyone (well almost everyone) was such a joy...and the babies have gotten so big! They are so adorable!
I loved every minute of it!

As for tonight, I just got back from seeing a movie with my momma...such a fun time!
Its so refreshing to just relax and catch up with your family once in a while just one-on-one...
Even when you live in the same house,
life gets so busy you miss out on those great moments.
I'm so happy I got to hang out, just me and mom. I just love her.
And I got to see Steve Martin and Meryl Streep on the big screen...always a plus...as they are two of my favs...
Love,Karen
